*SMAS schedules Free Public Star Parties at various locations throughout the year. See the calendar for details.

*To schedule a Free Private Star Party, contact the SMAS Program Coordinator.

*NCEEC is a gated facility, and NCO is operated by SMAS volunteers.

*For SMAS Observing Sessions, ALL NON-MEMBERS MUST arrange to meet a SMAS member on site, to be sure that they will have access.

*The scheduling of a SMAS Observing Session DOES NOT guarantee attendance by members, regardless of the weather.

*NCEEC is a facility of the Charles County School District, therefore it is a Smoke Free, Alcohol Free, Drug Free Zone.

SMAS will provide terrestrial views and indoor displays, in the event of clouds.

Open House Style - 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Observe the Moon, planets and stars through a variety of astronomical equipment, including the large NCO telescopes.

Weather Permitting Only - No Rain Date - Cancellation notice will be posted on the SMAS website on November 2.

Everyone Welcome!
Pre-Registration is Required, Due to Limited Parking.

E-mail registration request no later than Sunday, October 27, 2019 to programcoordinator@smas.us.

Include the number of people in your group. Star Party guests under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
